what complete dry food to feed
you folks have been brilliant helping out with my smelly dog problem and I know need to get their food sorted. I looked into Barf and to be honest the wife isnt keen on the idea and as I have 2 cavaliers decent size bones always seem to casue trouble as the bitch wont eat hers straight away, the dog eats is then trys to pinch her bone.... Always ends up with them having a barney which I am again not keen on, the dogs dont like the rain and they wife wont have them in the kitchen with raw bones on the floor.
So because of all that I am looking into decent dry foods. I will be honest and say that lately money has become tight and so ideally I could do with not spending a total fortune every month. I have always been told JWB is great but to be honest at £40 it is a bit pricey ( i know we have to do the best for dogs but the rest of the family need my money as well) I have also been told to try Supadog active as its VAT free, Ladywoods sell Laughing dog at a great price and it seems to be good stuff (but its main ingredient is ground wholemeal flour) So then so far I am looking at JWB Laughing dog Supa Dog Tesco own brand Premuim Any thoughts? |

that was taken a couple of years ago, the blenheim (the boy) has put a few pounds on since then... (currently 15KG) to be honest I think he is a X simply because he is the biggest Cav I have ever seen.. when I was a kind we had a welsh border collie and my boy isnt much smaller than he was.... And to think I wanted cavs cus they are so small |

Re: what complete dry food to feed
Not a fan of dry food myself, but I do use it as one of my dogs does real well on it.
The one I prefer - is Arden Grange (buy mine from berriewood along with my nature diet) costs around £25 a 15kg bag so is what I would term Mid price range' regards sue |

Re: what complete dry food to feed
Forgot to add - Burns is not bad either =- comes in just a bit cheaper then JWB - but I would still choose the Adren grange if I were going to feed dry.
sure you don't need me to tell you but if switching remember to do it gradually. regards Sue ps - also you can get breeder prices from Arden Grange thenselves. |

a lot of these dog foods are made for delicate stomachs if your dog has not got a dodgy stomach why not try half minced beef or chicken or lamb with a bit of veg and some wag dry its under £10 and you can get it at tesco or pets at home my whippet looks really well on this it costs me about £4 a week to feed him we never had the likes of j.w years ago
