Re: Moving from Puppy Food

Just a quick update and thread revival!

On your advice we have moved Winston onto Wainwrights - it is one of the best things we have ever done for him!

His coat is getting softer (even though he is now shedding like mad), his poos are hard and easy to pick up (FINALLY!!) he is calming down an awful lot and does not seem to be as unsetted/uncomfortable after eating.

Bakers is quite obviously as you all said a pile of **** and I wouldn't feed it to Gadaffi!

Anybody on Bakers, I strongly recommend moving your dog OFF of it!!

Thank you all!!!

Re: Moving from Puppy Food

Wainwright's wet is great, and our two really like this mixed with the Fishmongers dry food (also from Pets at Home).

We feed a 40kg foxhound pup and a 12kg lurcher pup on this mixture for about £60 a month, they need more as pups (both 9 months at present) so that cost will go down as they get older.

I think this is decent value for a good quality food.

Re: Moving from Puppy Food

I'm a raw feeder myself but am glad you got him off the Bakers. I find it really insulting that these food companies can list a load of crap ingredients and think owners will be impressed by the way the food is presented.
