Re: please help !!!

I'd be strongly pushing the vet to run some tests to try and get to the bottom of things. It could be a number of things, anything from an allergy to a digestive problem, and the vet will be the only one to tell you for sure. I wouldn't let this go on any longer.

I presume she has been wormed (with a good wormer like Drontal or Milbemax)? What food do you have her on? and what were her previous owners feeding her?

Does she gulp her food down? This could be a simple cause for the sickness if she is fine in all other respects and has solid bowel movements. What is the sick like? Undigested food, bile, actual vomit etc?

I hope you manage to get to the bottom of things soon. Poor girl

Re: please help !!!

I'd be asking for a general blood test to check all is as it should be, and maybe allergy testing, but I'd wait for the results of the general blood test first.

Well done for trying your best to get her sorted. At least she now has owners who care for her and are doing right by her, by getting her the treatment she needs It certainly sounds like her previous owners knew there was a problem, hence getting rid of her. What a shame. Although it sounds like she is much better off with you.

The food you are feeding her is a great one (Fish4Dogs brand?) so I'd definately stick with that, but if I was you I'd probably try adding a small amount of high quality wet food to a couple of her meals daily too. Something like Naturediet or Natures Menu, just a couple of spoonfuls twice a day mixed through her biscuits, just to encourage her to eat a little bit more and sneak a few more calories into her. It's probably a good idea to limit exercise too, so she isn't just burning off all she is taking in. 20-30 minutes a day for the time being would probably be enough.

Don't worry about asking questions, that's what forums are for, we all learn from one another Wormers you can buy from pet shops/supermarkets such as Bob Martin and Sherley products aren't generally the best, they can often make dogs sick and don't cover all a good wormer should. Worming tablets from the vets can sometimes be a bit more expensive but they do their job well, and are gentle on a dogs tum.

There isn't really much else that can be done until the vet does the tests and the results come back, then hopefully you'll know exactly what the problem is, and be able to get her on suitable treatment.

Please keep us updated with what the vet says Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Re: please help !!!

Get her in for a blood test there could be a underline problem that has been overlooked.

Good luck!
