Re: lungworm

If you treat regularly with Advocate a dog should be protected from lung worm.

Re: lungworm

sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. Has your vet done a post mortem? not nice I know but with 3 other dogs I think it's in your best interests to know exactly what caused the death of your dog.

What area are you in? some parts of the UK are hotspots for lungworm - where I am is and we see a lot of cases at the vet hospital where I work.

The trouble is lungworm can present in many different ways from coughing to bleeding problems. If you are in a hotspot and/or it is confirmed your dog did die from lungworm then you really should worm your other dogs monthly with advocate

So sorry for your loss.

my Bichon has just had an op on her knee and whilst at the vet they discovered she has lungworm .. i had no idea, no couging or anything.

i live in Surrey.. and my dog loves to play fetch.. they think she may have picked it up even from her ball rolling on grass where slugs may have been.

Going to be taking Advocate now to help get her better then continue prevention. I feel so bad because i have rigorously checked my garden etc as we all do
