kadie is on a distinguished road
has it been the change in her diet

Hi guys,

caroline and kadie here kadie is the pup, i had been away for a week had to go home to kerry we live in dongeal. KD is a year old and hasnt ever been away from me too long when i came back i noticed Kd poo was very soft as a treat when i came back i gave her dog food only a small bit tough as she normally eats dry nuts the best of course. but over the last few days ive noticed anything she eats bar dry nuts she is bring up and she got a bad dose of diarrohea when i said this to my boyfriend he said she had been like this all week and that he was giving her the wrong food which means we both have, after a very loving but heated disscussion we just have giving her her dry nuts,
i am wooried tough that we caused her illness she seems okay very close to me as i speak she is curled up on my lap need advice i live her and im worried she is very clever and has been none in the past to be a drama queen i have spent a small fortune on a trip to a vet when she had nothing wrong with her she was looking for attention while iwashed dishes

Firstly I'm a little confused, you say as a treat you gave KD dog food, then says she normally eats dry nuts... is this a dog we are talking about?

If she is bringing up food and having diarrhea and it hasn't cleared up after a couple of days you really need to get your KD checked out by a vet to see what could be wrong.

They can as part of the raw or barf diet and they cant eat macadamia (?) nuts but this post sounds like all she eats is nuts
They cant just eat nuts it'd make them ill

She possibly just means dry kibble, people do use different names for it, I have heard it called dry nuts before.

Ok, didn't think of that

But yes, to the OP a quick change in diet like that could give your puppy an upset stomach. You should do changes gradually. Either way, if I was you I would still get her checked over at the vet to be on the safe side.

Re: has it been the change in her diet

oh sorry everyone,
first this isnt a wind up at all dry nuts is dry dog food i get it from the pet shop its called royal cannine it was reccommed by a vet. kadie or KD for short is my one year old mini jack russell whom to me is a drama queen at times. as a treat i only give her wet food such as tinned dog food on the rare occastion. anyway got in contact with a vet explained the situation and yes it was her diet me and my boyfriend over indulged the little thing im keeping a close eye on her now and she is still very petty especially now as shes been to the vet. i learnt a valuable lesson.

your dog will pine over you when you leave for a long time but it doesnt mean they can eat what they what while your gone no matter how sad they are and kd can get sad shes back on her dry food and im keeping a close eye if now improvement in a day or two back shell go to the vet.

very sorry
and thank you for your replies
