Dog vomiting...

Hi all,

Well Friday night Sally went out for her bedtime walk, and was drawn to eating grass, now I know she does this when she has an upset stomach, she chewed for a bit and then came back in.
She was fine Saturday morning, but then later Saturday night, she vomitted yellow with chunks of her food in that she'd eaten through out the day, her stomach was making horrible noises, but after being sick she seemed okay. She did the same yesterday, and woke up during the night last night, thankfully she wasn't sick, so we gathered she was feeling fine now.
But then about half an hour ago, she has just done the same thing again. Any advice? I'm waiting for my Mum to get home to ring the Vet, but I just wondered if anyone on here had an advice in the mean time?

Thanks in advance.

Laura. x

Re: Dog vomiting...

Its hard to know why shes been vomiting, what are you feeding her, or could she have eaten something poisonous.. onions, rat poison, chocolate etc?
All i can suggest is to give her plenty of water and definately get her down the vets.

Sorry not much help

Re: Dog vomiting...

She's on Bakers weight control food, but has hardly eaten any. Nope to all of them.
Thanks for your advice

Re: Dog vomiting...

Nope not that we know of, we're careful when we're out with her etc, and our garden is closed in.

Once she's been sick, she's always lively afterwards, she doesn't seem un-well in any other way. Nope no diorreah.

Re: Dog vomiting...

Its probably not the reason she has been sick but Bakers isnt a good brand (just look at the ingredients), get a new brand like James wellbeloved or Burns or Orijen...

sounds like he has picked up a bug, the vets may want to put him on anti biotics for a lil while

Re: Dog vomiting...

Sounds like she has a tummy bug. For 24 hours either starve her or just give her plain boiled rice and chicken. THis will help the tummy heal itself.

If this dont work get dog to vets.

Oh and as previous peeps have said go get her some decent grub.

Re: Dog vomiting...

Yes we had been starving her, and giving her boiled cooled water, she had some chicken and rice, but went downhill again yesterday, we took her bac to the vets today, turns out she has a liver infection the vet gave her an anti-biotic injection, and has given us some anti-biotics, and she goes back monday, for blood test results. Fingers crossed she'll be okay.

As for the food, we've already changed it.
