Re: BARF / Raw Made My Dog Ill

Our JRT Harvey suffers from a sensitive tummy, and if he has anything raw, he gets terrible runs, we tried him a few times, but now he refuses to touch the stuff because he knows it makes him ill. We've been trying different foods on him for the last couple of years and finally settled on Arden Grange. He looks and feels great.
Our other pooch ( NI x )likes a raw bone occasionally but he doesn't get them often as he can get constipated, so he has a normal complete diet and the odd raw bone as a treat.

Re: BARF / Raw Made My Dog Ill

my eldest dog a welsh border collie x jack russell had a severe skin complaint we had tried everything he was on 50 - 60 pound of medication a week he rattled when he walked within a week of putting him on the barf diet he was off all medication and a different dog he hasn't been to the vet for 18 months apart for his booster and alump that occurred on his leg which turned out to be nothing my vet was very against me putting hi onto the diet but has now held his hands up and has read my books and advised other clients to research and try it. in april i took on an 18 month old pointer cross he was fed on bakers complete and i did a straight swap no weaning and he has come on brilliant he was thin and no energy but since he changed onto the barf diet he has filled out is at his recomended weight and full of life i would never feed anything else again

one mistake i have made is that the bakers complete he came with we have used as treats a few times and this has flared my older dogs skin up as soon as we realised and stopped he was back to normal again

No problems with mine.

Her coat went soft after I started her on raw, before it was a bit wirey and her breath is now nice!
