Protein depends on the source, if it's from quality meat sources I wouldnt even worry about the protein level.
In a quality food I would expect to see no grains and a minimum of 60% quality meat, preferably 70-80%. No artificial additives, preservatives or colourants. I also taking into consideration the cooking/baking/extruding process as that can impact the digestability of the end product.
I don't feed commercial foods, I feed raw but I do like to know what foods are good and which are bad so I can advise our customers and anyone who asks on here, raw isn't for everyone. The only commercial food I would ever feed my lot is Orijen.
