Question jacks eye

2 days ago i noticed Jacks 3rd eyelid had moved across the front of his eye; i have been squeezing Fucithalmic anti-biotic eye cream into it once a day. (i hade some in) should i do it more often? should i take him straight to the vet? he is otherwise fit and well and his usual self>

Re: jacks eye

Is there any discharge from the eye? Is Jack eating well? Has he had any injury to the eye? Third eyelids that come across may mean there is either injury, or can be early sign of them running a temperature. You could keep a watch on him for a day or so to see if it goes back into place, or get the vet to check him over.

As a side note, if the Fucithalmic had already been open before using it again this time it should really be thrown away if open for more than 28 days. With eye medications in particular its best not to use them longer than needed.

Re: jacks eye

it wouldnt do any harm to get him down the vets... if something gets in that eye it could get infected easily and become very uncomfortable for him.. so id say stop the issue before it turns nasty

Re: jacks eye

To be honest if you dont know wat the problem is with his eye i wouldnt go putting ointment in it...coz it my well make the prob worse ( if the eye is a problem )

i would myself take him for a visit to vets to be on the safe side.
