dry skin

Hi all
I have a 20 week old westie and he is starting to itch a lot. On closer inspection his skin looks quite dry looking. I know westies are prone to dry skin so was wondering if anyone has any good advice what i can give to him to help his dry skin.I read somewhere that primrose oil is good i was wondering if there was anything better on the market.

Re: dry skin

Re: dry skin

Try putting some cod liver oil in his dinners... and james wellbeloved is hypo allergenic so maybe you should switch to a similar brand?

Yeh i do like wainwrights. You can get cod liver oil tablets (although my dogs will only eat them if they are covered in peanut butter) they really improve their coat quickly.
If not your vets can get some antibacterial, antifungal shampoo which will really help
