Other Foods

Apart from proper dog (puppy) food, what other foods can I feed Toby that won't upset his tummy, just to give him something a bit different? I'm sure it's not nice having the same meal every day all day!

Oh, you're probably going to ask He's an 8 and a half week labradoodle.

Someone told me bread, is this ok? What else?

Thanks,
Rosie x

Re: Other Foods

At his age, he'll need food high in protein. We give Oscar a mix of the dried and tinned food but add a bit of something else. So far, he's had some lamb, chicken and scrambled egg.

Re: Other Foods

Our pups also had scrambled egg, weetabix, porridge, rice pudding, liquidized fruit & veg, cheese, goats milk. They loved all of them and never upset their tummies

Re: Other Foods

Dogs are lactose intolerant - they can't digest cows milk properly.

Re: Other Foods

My pups had skimmed milk(with a small amount of water) at times without any problems. Also chicken, scrambled egg etc mixed with their dried food.
They also had bread sticks and carrots to munch on

Re: Other Foods

We fed our pups a variety of stuff (still do)
Goats milk, boiled chicken, white fish, lamb, turkey, scrambled eggs, porridge, baked sweet potato. A couple times a week we make smoothies of yoghurt blended with some veg or fruit and nowadays we throw some garlic in.
