Wainwright's feeding allowence (wet food)

Kaiser's been having Nature's Harvest mixed with meats and some veggies. We were pleased to find than he can tollerate it (he has a very sensitive tum) and he actually started looking forward to feeding times, usually he isn't bothered about any food.

For his wieght range (25kg-45kg) the Nature's Harvest said to feed 1 1/2 - 3 trays aday. So when buying more yesterday I spotted Wainwrights which also said it was hypoallergenic and natural etc, and for the same wieght range it said only to feed 3/4 - 1 tray aday! so I bought two to see if he likes it and if he can tollerate, and he seems to like it the same lol!

But is that amout right as it doesn't seem like much at all.

Kai is a german shepherd and wieghs about 29-30kg (is fairly ribby and needs more wieght)

Re: Wainwright's feeding allowence (wet food)

We have this question quite often, I think it's about time someone contacted them to query it.
I would give my boy 2 packs ad he is 32kg, but he also gets kibble as treats

Re: Wainwright's feeding allowence (wet food)

I would give their helpline a ring. If their food is more concentrated then you probably would feed less.(but its a big difference) I know the amounts of dry food vary from brand to brand, not sure on the wet. Definately worth a call, they are very helpful and it will put your mind at rest.

Hope Kaiser's tum likes his new food as much as he does

Ted is 6.8KG and he has a 1/3 of a tray of WW a day. He also has about 30g of kibble split between his 3 meals.

Hols<3Millie will become famous soon enough
Re: Wainwright's feeding allowence (wet food)

just thinking about it, i wonder if they have such low quantities because they plan for it to be mixed with biscuits , i would also be interested to hear as my dog prefers wet and i'm looking at putting her on wet and dry food which she would prefer and some of her teeth are falling out
x

ps just checked the website and on the information it doesn't say anywhere it's complete pet food so i think they may intend for it to be mixed x

Had a reply

Further to your enquiry I can confirm less of the Wainrights is needed than the natures diet due to this food being more concentrated

Well that explains it doesn't it?
