Puppy throwing up

I just took my puppy out and while out she ate something that is now making her throw up. She started with a more solid substance, then clear and now nothing. Is there anything that I can give her that will help settle her stomach. She is a toy poodle, 1 year old and 4 1/2 pounds.

Re: Puppy throwing up

Not sure what to advise for the best but if it was my pooch I'd not feed anything untill I'd taken her for a quick check at the vet, just give fresh clean water maybe.
Have you any idea what it was she ate at all? If it was food it might be that it's upset her tummy but you need to know it wasn't anything toxic....if unsure I'd take her to a vet as soon as just to have her looked at.I know dogs do pick up things on the st occasionally and are fine but not knowing what it was coupled with vomiting is cause for concern.
Hope she's ok

I agree. May be give the emergency vet a ring just so they are aware and to put your mind at rest. I am sure she will be fine but always best to err on the safe side.

Re: Puppy throwing up

Thanks for the advice. She is doing much better today. She just threw up those couple of times, then fine the rest of the night. The bad things is that it is a holiday weekend and by the time she started being sick, my vet had just closed. I did bring her in today for a quick check up, no worries!! Hopefully this will teach her, but I doubt it.

Re: Puppy throwing up

Hi,
My niece has an appointment in the morning to get her puppies health certificates. She lives in the state of Florida.I guess my main question is, she normally buys puppy vaccinations from a feed store and administers them herself. Does she need to get their shots done at the vets office where she is getting the health certificates or will it be okay for her to administer them herself? She has already treated them for parasites using Panacur.
