my dogs 11 month is testees have not dropped

hi our cav king charles testees have not droped yet every time we visit the vets which is every month for his flea stuff they all ways mention soon as he sits on the table about his litle man hood not droped and it wont be a normal castration but a lot more money as they will have to go and find them as they could be high up
we have all ways had a dog but never had them catrated they say it calms a dog down but our little dog could not be more calmer
but the vet is saying if they dont drop they could cause cancer in later life

his right they can if they dont drop
and your insurance company should cover it as a medical reason
but then my friends company didnt they tryed to say its not a medical reason but was told years ago by a vet it is they were trying it on.

i would wait a bit longer and see if they drop if his carm then if they dont get them out.

11 months? Zaks' not yet 11 weeks but he's starting to drop!

It is worrying, have you consulted with different vets?

As said above by Carol, if he's in no danger and calm enough in himself, leave him be!

The age can vary a bit with different breeds, could you have a word with your breeder ask her about the average age.

Re: my dogs 11 month is testees have not dropped

I have a friend who has a dog that the testees have not drop , I f they don't drop then it will more than likely cause cancer . So She was told they were best took out , it will cost that bit more as they have to open up to remove them, I think if you are not going to breed from the dog and you was planning on having them removed then there is no need to wait any longer but if you are planning on breeding then wait to see if they do drop. You need to weigh up the pros and cons on both sides , to me I think I would have him done as I would not like to think that my Dog would suffer with Cancer later on , Yes don't get me wrong some Animals will get Cancer what ever , but if I knew I could prevent it with removing them and had it done then I would , but you don't have it done and the possability is there that it could cause it then I would feel rotton to myself if he did.
Sorry if I havent helped and Im rambling on , but i thought I would put my feelings across,

Garry - although we are mostly adults here it may be a little more polite to use a different word than the one you have used.....its a family pet forum - at least use a star in the word......
