I had a collie who was 20 when she diet of stomach cancer, never went the vet for anything bar boosters and a single ear infection in twenty years. She was fed on whatever happened to be on offer.

I could say she thrived on it, but I honestly can't help but feel guilty and wonder if the poor nutrition she had to put up with for twenty years had anything to do with her stomach cancer. Obviously I have no proof of that, but as I said, I can't help but think that maybe the terrible nutrition finally caught up with her. And I genuinely wish I'd given her a better diet.
