Re: My dog got wobbley and fell down while playing
Sounds like heat stroke to me, it happened to our dog years ago. sounds like you did all the right things - you should come and live in cold wet england that would solve the problem :-) i would be happy to swap!
Maybe try having play time earlier in the morning or later in evening when it has cooled down a little bit |

He hadn't collapsed but he was over heated, we weren't playing just come back from a long walk. I usually time it so we are back before there is any strength in the sun, slipped up at the weekend. Re: My dog got wobbley and fell down while playing
Sorry, but the very last thing you should have done is to have your dog shaved. His fur is there as a protection against both heat and cold. Now he has nothing between him and the heat of the sun. You will need to keep him out of direct sunshine or not only will he overheat badly, but he will be vulnerable to sunburn. A dog which has sufered from heat stroke once, is much more likely to do so again so you will need to be incredibly careful.
