Wink Re: Fur Trouble

hi, I am feeding her on Bakers Complete, and have been giving her a primrose oil capsule daily.also a tin of tuna once a week.
she was last wormed about 4 weeks ago.
someone suggested it could be hormone trouble,
she is otherwise very active.

Re: Fur Trouble

You will probably find that it is Bakers... It is the worst food on the market. Full of additives and all sorts of rubbish. Best bet would be to change her food over a week to something better. Have you ever thought of giving raw feeding a go, I've never ever seen a raw fed dog with poor coat and teeth (or many over/ underweight now I thik about it).

Re: Fur Trouble

i agree with the others Bakers really is the worst food going, full of sugar and additives and practically no meat.

JessiesGirl will become famous soon enough
Re: Fur Trouble

Have you tested her thyroid? Low thyroid could also produce this sort of coat problem and is quite easily corrected with an inexpensive daily pill. If she does have an underactive thyroid, you'd want to address it as it causes many health issues.

Several of the Spaniels are known for low thyroid, so in your breed, I'd definitely get it checked.
