Meg Has Pyometra.....

We noticed puss coming from her lady bits this morning and she was reluctant to eat so we got her an appointment at the vets asap as I suspected open Pyo. The vets have confirmed it and the poor girl has yet more to go through now, she's at the vets on a drip now in preparation for a ovario-hysterectomy.

I want to thank everyone on here for bringing Pyometra to peoples attention, especially Sallyanne. If it wasn't for the information given on here I wouldn't have known the signs.

Cross your fingers that everything goes well for Meg!

OMG Alan,I'm sorry.

That's awful news especially after all she's been through, poor girl
Fingers crossed she will be fine, let us know when she's out of surgery, your vets will probably give her some AB's and metacam afterwards.
