Changing my food

Hey everyone.

Chance here again. Hope you're all well.

Now then, I'm a bit peckish this evening. Reason being that when I left the rescue centre (about 9 weeks old) my owners put me on the same diet as I'd been on. Pedigree puppy meat and Bakers puppy meal. I just loved my food and all three/four meals were gon ein a flash.

However, after reading on here that it was the equivilant of a McDonalds (Never heard of this chain but then I am a dog after all) Happy meal I asked for a change.

So, since Sunday I've been half the amount of pedigree meat and a 50/50 mix of Bakers and Wainwrights dog food. (the nice lady at the pet shops said it was good stuff!) However, I'm just not eating like I was. My bowl looks the same and after 10 minutes of eating it still looks almost full. I then pick at it through the day and it is almost empty by the time my next meal is due.

Have they changed my diet too quickly and will I even 'clean my plate' like I used to?

Re: Changing my food

if you dont eat it when its put down your owners should pick it up until the next feed which should all have curtain times,
sorry your go hungry a bit, but you will soon learn if you dont eat what your given it and when, your lose out.

and your eat as soon as your alot hungry.

Re: Changing my food

yep your eat when your ready.
leaving food down all the time is never a good idea and also when people put nice tasty things on top to make the dogs eat then they get picky with food.

Re: Changing my food

Fair does. Does my food keep? I mean, if there is some left and my owners take it away, will it still be ok for the next meal or should it be scrapped and start again fresh?
