I am a groomer and show my dogs, I wouldn't trust anyone else with them. I also had a ranting customer who accused me of making her dog lose in a show as 'I had brushed him the wrong way'. I refuse now to do any show dogs, except my own which don't require anything more than a good groom anyway
Really? Some people eh? Im new to showing, but in my opinion you win some, you lose some. If you think you should have won and you didn’t, you swallow it and say NOTHING. If someone says 'Im surprised you didn’t win.' you smile graciously and say NOTHING bad about anyone else.

I think I will invest in some clippers actually Someone is grooming him on Thursday for his first show on Saturday; however I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I think I would enjoy doing it myself. I think as long as im very careful and take it bit by bit. Anyway, I guess the good thing about hair as it'll grow back

Yep they do Im not the sort to have a go if she 'messes up' (although I hope I dont have to pay if she accidently shaves a bald patch!) however it didnt seem to be a problem when I said it was for a show on the weekend. I've never been to a groomers before, I would have thought a lot of the business comes from show grooming. Is this not the case?
