Ear cleaning

Hi I wonder if anyone could help. My, nearly 9 week, puppy has quite dirty ears and it is causing him to scratch quite a lot. I have tries cleaning them with a luke warm cotton ball, but it seems the dirt must be in the canal. He hasn't has his 2nd injections yet, but I would like to get this fixed asap. Any suggestions?

If you re-post this in the 'Health and Nutrition' section you'll get more replies

Has your pup been seen by a vet? He might have ear mites or an infection, which will need prescribed ear drops. Ears can be very easily damaged so best to get the vet to take a look as soon as possible.

Re: Ear cleaning

Cleanaural from the vets is amazing - we used it regularly on our Springer who was prone to ear infections if his ears got dirty

can also dilute it with warm water for a more mild effect and use a pippette to get it deep in the ear, using cotton wool to clean and dry

Re: Ear cleaning

I think is better go for a grooming specialist to clean up the inner part, as well as remove the hair inside the ear.
