Grooming tips for a Bolognese...

Hi,

I've got a 7mth old Bolognese dog but am having problems keeping up with the amounts of mats in her hair. I've bought a metal comb, brush and a cheap shampoo but don't know what are the best products on the marktet? Also, can you use conditioner on them? Dont want to make the problem worse.

Thanks

Jen.

lol - they're part of the Bichon family. She's got white long hair with shades of apricot (according to the Kennel Club, this is a 'fault'!). I think they are more like the Maltese than any others. They were court dogs and apparently appear in paintings quite a lot (or so I'm told!).
