Just wondering, David - how does your food compare to something like Burns or Arden Grange? I currently feed Orijen - what are your views on that please?

Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

Hi Henry,
Thanks for your question. All three are good foods and I obviously don't want to do a full scale critique of any foods here (you have countless other threads for that) but what I can do is tell you what sets Natural Dog apart:

With absolutely no artificial additives whatsoever - including artificial vitamins, ours it the UK's first truly 100% natural complete dog food. Every nutrient found in our foods comes from the high quality natural ingredients we use, hence our slogan - nothing else added, nothing else needed.

We use a high proportion of meat (43% in our Adult Chicken variety for example, 55% in the Puppy), combining fresh and dried meats to provide what we have found to be the best level of protein and excellent palatability.

Every ingredient we use is human grade, completely natural and (apart from the rice) is sourced from the UK.

Of course, Orijen is an excellent food, and it has certainly thrown into disarray everything we thought we knew about canine nutrition and in particular protein levels, but nevertheless, we are confident that our foods can match, if not beat Orijen in trials, plus All in One is far less expensive and is from the UK.

Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

Hi
I Have Recently Started Feeding My Puppy Bakers Complete. Well I Looked Today At Reviews For This And Nearly Cried. Its So Bad. Thank Goodness She Has Only Had A Small Amount As We Were Changing Her Over.
I Have Looked At Your Site And Your Food Looks Excellent. I Am Going To Order A Free Sample And See If Bailey Likes The Food.

If She Does Then I Will Buy The Bigger Bag.
Look Forward To Seeing It.

ALSO DO WE GET THE DISCOUNT FOR THE PUPPY FOOD?

I'd just like to say that my beautiful little beagle Charlie has been on All in One ever since I got him 6 months ago and he's been just fantastic on it. We gave it a try because when he arrived he had all kinds of tummy upsets but since changing he's been absolutely fine.

Hi Rvieyra & Bailey,

Although I generally don't like to criticize other foods, I'm happy to make an exception for Bakers - I've seen so many ill, itchy, hyperactive dogs on Bakers and yet it's the UK's biggest seller. That's the power of advertising.

The special offer is available on all of our 6 complete foods, including both puppy diets (make sure you ask for a sample of each) and our senior/light food. Please let us know how Bailey gets on.

Clearly I can't see for looking. Where do I order samples?

P.S. Is this food completely grain and cereal free.

This sounds very good.

Mine is on Burns and ND - I'm not one for changing her diet when she's happy, but I'll order a sample pack and see if she likes it. If she does, I'll be mightily impressed. She so fussy she spends 10 seconds sniffing the piece of roast beef you're holding out for her before she actually takes it.

Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

Hi Lyceum and thanks for your question.

To request samples simply call us free on 0800 8488049. We are working on a link for our homepage but I'm afraid that's not quite ready yet.

I'm glad you've raised the cereals question as they have been getting a very bad rap of late. Our foods are not cereal free. We have always used a mix of whole brown rice, oats and barley and we have never found them to cause problems - in fact, as far as we're concerned, good quality, whole grains cooked correctly can not only be well digested by dogs but can provide a whole range of valuable nutrients.

Of course, there are certain cereals like wheat and possibly maize that should be avoided but I think it's important not to tar all cereals with the same brush.
