Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

Although the site does seem to lean towards the North American cereal free brands, I'm sure there's no ulterior motive behind this. I do know that the 11,000 or so views of their misleading Natural Dog Food review won't have helped us but unfortunately there's not a lot we can do about it.

Can't you do anything about it legally? It is hurting your company by misleading consumers.

Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

Hi Yaya. Eventually it might have to come to legal action, although since they are an American based internet company I'm not sure how we would go about it. For the time being I'll keep trying to get hold of them and hope it doesn't come to that.

Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

I'm going to be switching my dogs from full raw to 50/50 raw and kibble and have to admit, after a recent conversation I am now undecided between this and Fish4Dogs. I like that all the ingredients in your kibble are natural, not synthetic. But I like that fish4Dogs is completely grain free, as Novak has a sensitive stomach and grains can sometimes set it off.

Hmm, decisions.

Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

Hi David - I recently got some samples of your food for my dog to try and I gave him some today, which he seemed to enjoy. I like the fact that your kibble has a high meat content, although I do feed naturediet as well.

I got a voucher with the samples - is this useable on the taster pack you are now doing? Think this would be a good way of trying out the different flavours. What are the Best Before dates like on your kibble and how long can you keep them opened (if in airtight container)?

Any advice welcome.

Thanks.

Claire

Re: Special offer from The Natural Dog Food Company!

Ive had to swap one of mine over, as the amount of poo he was producing was astronomical. He was going about 6 or 7 times a day, sometimes more.

My older buy however doesnt have the same problem and is doing extrememly well on it.

Well this thread has certainly found a new lease of life! Thanks for all of your enquiries.

Hi Lyceum. That's a tricky choice since both are good foods. I actually gave a mini Fish4Dogs comparison here but I'm sure that whichever you were to feed your dogs would do well.

Thanks for getting in touch Claire. The voucher can indeed be used with our new taster packs but you will have to place the order over the phone (0800 8488049) since we still haven't sorted out our website. From the date of manufacture all of our products have a 12 month shelf life. We try to get the products out to our customers with a minimum of 9-10 months of shelf-life remaining. Even after opening, provided the food is stored in a cool, dry place in an air-tight container it should be usable right up to the best-before date printed on the bag.

Hi Nonnie. Such a large amount of waste is really unusual for dogs on Natural Dog Food since the digestibility is so high and feeding amounts so low. The only explanation I can think of is that perhaps he was getting a little bit too much food and the excess was going straight through. Did you try cutting him down at all? A relatively small reduction of only 5-10% could do the trick.

I'll certainly see you there! I've got some samples with Daisy's name on!

Many thanks again,

David
