hiya Laney , fantastic news im glad you have given him and you a second chance , Im sure with the right help and your love and attention he will make you proud , I have read an amazing book that i think you should read its called The Dog Listener by Jan Fennell . she is an amazing dog trainer who looks at the behaviour of the domestic dog and how it still thinks in pack mentality and how you as the owner you need to take the roll of alfa . It gives you really easy to follow ways of making sure you are on top so to speak and as such makes training a dog much easier when he understands and knows his position even if its just you and him. I you google her name it brings up the web site where she tells you a littl about how she started and yo can order the books off there , a well worth read honestly . I hope all goes well for you were all here to lend an ear if times and training get tough , I just noticed you dont live all that far from me i live in selly oak how funny . any way keep in touch and all the best with Yogi
Andrea
