Hi all I am new to this forum so hope I am putting this thread in the right place!
We are looking for a Spaniel dog, either springer, king or cocker.
I have registered with all the rescue services for this breed of dog near me but I'm also posting ads incase someone is needing a new home for much loved pet.

We live in a small village location in Wales, very green (well white right now!)
Lots of fields and great walks nearby.

We have a good sized, safe enclosed garden and my partner works from home so doggie would not be alone. Would consider puppy to but cannot pay the hundreds breeder request I'm affraid.

I also volnteer at local animal rescue (they have no spaniels)

I know we will find the right dog, and I can assure you he/she will be well loved and cared for.

Have you looked at Many Tears rescue , they are based not far from Swansea , they have all sorts of dogs looking for homes , either in the kennels or out at foster homes .

I have a very nice crown, its big and it has a gheco on it, have i got it on murray??

Also may be worth looking at four paws animal rescue (south wales), last time i looked they had 2 cockers in

Some people drive for hours to fetch these dogs to go to foster or to go to forever homes . i can do swansea from birmingham in about 2 hours .

All animal rescues let you have them for a initial trial to make sure they get on with any other pets you may have, and that they settle/no problems of any kind. If I has a dog from Swansea (which is over 4 hours drive) then back, that means keeping the dog in the car for 8 hours when it has never met me before Not fair at all to the dog. I can see why people have to do it, fostering or urgent rescue, but that is not the case.
I am thinking of the dogs needs not mine.

Ps, How fast do you drive swansea-birmingham-160 miles-avarage speed almost 3 hours! eek:eek:eek:

104 miles just checked lol . we went to laugharn on our hols in august and that on the way home took us 3 hours, so swansea from brum is about 2 hours lol . I can see your point good luck with finding your dog

Definatley showing up as 155 miles, that will prob be from town center to town center though, still for the reasons above the nearer the better.
