Re: Beware Of Internet Scammers
I too have had the same message from jacksmith53@hotmail.com
I enquired about Alaskan Malamutes he was supposedly selling from Sunk Island, East Riding Of Yorkshire. I did originally think it was a genuine advert, but was suspicious because of the photos he sent. Then when I read further it stated the same, that he was now in Belfast. I did a Google search on his address and came up with Street View. The address he gave was a nursery, which would explain the 6+ children he said ran about. But the most worrying thing was that he said he would send a pup out by courier service. NEVER accept anyone who says this, and certainly DO NOT listen to sob stories about a death of a family member. I have had FIVE in my emails today stating that a family member had died and would use a courier service to send a pup. They all seem to have 070 mobile numbers and are located in places other than where they state in the advert. I shall add the email addresses I have had reply to me, that are dodgy in a minute. I too am beginning to wonder if there are any genuine pups out there, with mothers to also visit, and whom pictures have not been stolen to advertise, at a reasonable cost because I also cannot afford to spend the hundreds of pounds from the top of the range breeders. However, my mother did purchase a puppy from Epupz and although he was in Essex, (we are in Yorkshire), we travelled to go view him and his parents. |

Re: Beware Of Internet Scammers
Here we go....Email addresses and excuses for sending pups out by courier...
trey_diana@yahoo.com (Her daughter died-But after doing a search on her email, I found 3 other adverts for different breeds, and I have reported them to one of the advert sites, having previously reported the following email below to the site I found him on)-I also add to the site I reported her to, I included all emails I had, including these below!! nathanleslie@live.com (His wife was killed by a drunk driver 2 weeks ago) ellen.jones21@yahoo.com (Her mother has died) sellf@ymail.com (Frank Sell-His mother has also apparently died) And finally, the first person I contacted-I rang the number on the advert and got someone who barely knew how to speak English. I had the phone on speaker so my mother (whom is still alive!) could listen, and she thought he said he was in Poland, yet when he emailed me he said the puppies were in Scotland and would courier one to me. I think the advertising sites, (and I have told them in my complaints), should message every advert they get, enquire about their puppies and see what kind of reply they get, then contact the police /fraud squad and remove their listings. They are preying on those who cannot afford to pay out much money for a pet and those who are naive enough to believe them. |

Another cheap and nasty trick to look out for are people offering a home for a dog on such free ad sites as Gumtree. A bit of research shows that they also have a number of dogs for sale too !!! If you aren't sure google the telephone number or email address.

Re: Beware Of Internet Scammers
Hi All,
I am disgusted with these people. Yesterday I had to have my dog put to sleep. Today all I have done is search on the internet for another one. I cannot believe how many sick people there are out there. They advertise dogs, then when you contact them, they say that the dogs belonged to a deceased member of the family, (normally a daughter or wife who has just been killed by a drunk driver). They are after money to deliver the dogs, but obviously you never recieve them. I am deeply hurt by the animals that are out there praying on vulnerable people. I have emailed about six people today with the same reply. They are using an 070 number too. Hope this emails stops other people feeling how I do right now, |

Re: Beware Of Internet Scammers
Hi, they are both definitely scammers-Same write up I received on some of the puppies I enquired about.
I tried tricking them by asking for more photos of the puppies they were selling, and some sent pictures of pups with pictures behind them, ie: a palm tree on a beach. I have found from experience that Sun Local is one of the worst places to come across these vile scammers. If you want genuine sellers, I suggest you visit Epupz and pay for an Epupz account. It allows you to see sellers addresses and contact numbers, if the adverts have been placed within so many days. If not, then their contact numbers, etc are shown after a set time of placing their adverts. It is where I bought my gorgeous puppy, and also where my Mother bought hers too. A genuine seller will gladly send you honest photos, will not send out their puppy via courier, will not tell you some kind of sob story to get you to buy (ie: are moving, have had a death in the family, and get upset every time they look at these puppies-A genuine seller is, as anyone would be, selling their pups to a good home, after all, how ridiculous would it be to keep all their puppies??) Also note that a genuine seller will allow you to go and see their puppies with their mother/and possibly, father. Never take home a puppy that has not been weaned, that is too young ie: 4 or 6 weeks old, never meet anyone anywhere else but at the home where the puppies actually are-My vet told me that they had seen a puppy that was 4 weeks old and the new owner had met the seller on the motorway!!! |

Re: Beware Of Internet Scammers
BEWARE
i have been looking for weeks for my perfect pet but have found so many scammers its unbelievable. people are paying stupid amounts for these pets that are not there or paying for a delivery of pets and guess what they dont recieve them. I have come up witha few things to do first. NEVER pay for a delivery for a pet as you will not recive them and alot of the scammers say they use PET DELIVERY AGENCY but iff you google it its a scam. Also when they advertise there pets they give descusting reasons for sale such as somebody died of cancer is the most famous one scammers use. Everything on there advert you should just google such as there email, phone number, address anything as you will find that they are selling thousands of animals that are not there. i found one that said is son died so he wanted to get rid of there pet yet when i googled his phone number it came up that he was selling monkeys donkeys horses parrots and much more and all from different addreses. Just be aware that there are loads of scammers and NEVER BUY UNTIL YOU SEE. |
