I really do like the white coat even if it is not breed standard, they are stunning, but I also love the black and tan.

Re: german shepherd for stud

Well there you go my dogs get excited at shows they wag their tails, they jump around happy, they love being around people and other dogs - there are plenty of people that show their dogs - we enjoy it win or lose!!
You cannot book him in this early - wait until hes older - nearer 12 months and then get him booked in.

Re: german shepherd for stud

It's not all about winning, lets face it we can't all win all of the time, it is also the social aspect of it all too. My dogs get so excited when the dog bag comes out because they know where they are going.
I think I would wait until your dog is fully mature before even thinking about using him at stud.

Re: german shepherd for stud

ok we will wait until nearer the time. we were told that he can start studding at 8 months onwards but that information was obviously wrong. so after he had all is neccessary tests we will then offer him for stud. i'm glad your dogs enjoying showing but i never considered showing them before. but after all this abuse i've had i'm considering it just to prove a point that our dogs our of high quality. the only problem is i don't know how to go about it or even if you are allowed to show a white german shepherd?

Re: german shepherd for stud

He is lovely.
There is nothing in the rule book to say you can't show him but sadly you would never get placed with him being a white
If you were here in Germany you could as they have shows for white shepherds!
