Is it just me or does the world hate dogs ?

I have had a dog for a little over a year now and untill recently, well, Friday coming in fact have lived in Student accomodation. As a result i have lived in some interesting places along the way to say the least. One place had pigeons in the wall. IN the wall....INSIDE !!! Anyway, my point being is that the place was a sty and so having a dog there really did no consearn the landlord one bit.

But once it came to moving out of the cosey cheap student hole and into the 'real world' i found that everyone and everything HATES DOGS !!! Try and rent a place....honestly.

Girlfriend beating drunks - Fine
Drug users, loud ones - Fine
Insist on smoking insiders - Fine

Responsible dog owner wanting quiet life - Oh no no no no no WAY out of the question

Went into a PET SHOP the other day because Dais' (my lab) had fingured out how to slip her collor so needed a new one. "No dogs allowed". Surely thats like having a clothes shop where you are only allowed to try clothes on outside the shop once u bought it ?

Went for a walk and got bored of the concrete, wanted some grass. NO DOGS ON THE GRASS !

What is wrong with the world ? What happened to mans best friend ?

Or is it just me getting the wrong end of the stick here ?

Lol.. no luck on that place... me and my dog.. so free in here...

Ah see, but that's the problem. A lot of people don't clean up what their dog leaves on the ground. This is not the dog's fault, but the owner's fault, but the dog is the one who gets punished. It sucks. I took Khan to get his second vaccination yesterday and I let him walk a short distance and I ended up having to pick him up because of all the dog piles everywhere. It was disgusting in that area. The mini park would have been lovely if not for that. So shame on humans for not cleaning up after their k9 companions!

if you don,t live near open spaces or in the country it can be hard work i,m lucky i live near old quarry with grass hills for the dogs to run round as for the pet shop that is out of order our pet shop gives the dogs treats when we go in ,hope you did not buy anything things are not the same as they used to be rules and regulations for every little thing as long as poeple clean up after there dogs there should not be a problem trouble is they don,t and that spoils it for the rest of us hope things soon sort them selves out with getting accomadation for you and your dog

I have dogs and children - so can understand boths sides as unfortunately so many people do not pick up the mess and it is annoying when you constantly have to say mind that to your kids.

My petshops lets dogs in, in fact we have just come back from a little walk to there but I can remember once at a Country Show there was a animal supplies stall and the woman told us to move on - I couldn't believe it! Certainly didn't buy anything wasn't allowed to look.
