Now I know how celebrities must feel.... and it's annoying!

We took a trip to the seaside today with the dogs, and while we were there we sat outside a restaurant for a spot of lunch. They both lay down as good as gold next to each other until we had finished. The only time they moved was when someone came to fuss them......

Which brings me to a gripe of mine ......... When you are sat eating your lunch minding your own business, with dogs that are finally behaving themselves why do strangers think that because you have a puppy they have a right to come and disturb you while you are eating, which causes mayhem working the dogs up??

I'm sorry, I'm as outgoing and sociable as the next person.... but there are limits for even me!!

Does anyone else find this? Or am I just being over sensitive

Re: Now I know how celebrities must feel.... and it's annoying!

I myself find it annoying when I am going about my own business with my dogs, I can understand why folk stop me when I am out walking them as they are the kind of dogs that are not really seen that often, infact rarely at all round my neck of the woods.

I stopped going to car boots as I can't walk 2 yards without someone stopping us to have a cuddle, stroke etc.

It is annoying and I do understand how you feel when you are minding your own business

Saying that though I do like my breed to be seen in a positive light so I tend to shut my mouth and entertain their curiosity

Wat breed do you have?

As you can probably guess from my sig picture, we have Dalmatians, and they attract a lot of attention whether pup or adult. I usually get told by people that admit this is the first time they have seen a real life dal how agressive, stupid & untrainable they are...... all a load of bull!! Now then I find it hard to bite my tongue

I have American Bulldogs, Olde Tyme Bulldogs & a British Bulldog, I also own a Dogue De Bordeaux and a couple of rescued crossbreeds, its the Bulldogs that tend to gather the attention - folk are less curious about the others

So true

I find children have much more manners about coming up than adults do too

On Sunday we were putting the dogs in the car when an old chap walked over and asked us if he could have the little one (the pup), I laughed politely like you do, and he said he was being serious because he had had to have his 14 year old girl put down the week before and was really missing having a dog round the house.

I couldn't believe it
