that is exactly what she is doing!

She's constantly ripping leaves of the trees or bushes, constantly chewing off the heads of flowers and running off with them chewing/eating them (I just ignore her now when she does that). She always picks up sticks (which I worry about getting stuck in her throat)...

Another thing that can get frustrating is when I take her out for a poo or wee and I know she does need to go... she'll do the sniffing the ground thing and get ready to do her stuff, then she'll come across a daisy and she just goes all funny and bites it off then runs off and completely forgets about doing a poo/wee. She'll get bored of whatever she's found, then go back to getting ready for the toilet, then she'll come across something else! it goes on and on and on lol. I know puppies are hard work, but I just have this feeling she's gonna be that bit extra!

You sure you've not one of Megs litter lol

Sometimes we used to be outside for an hour or more,in all weathers. She was the same. She drove me mad,but with consistancy, more one to one it did eventually pay off.
She was so much harder than Tyler to train,he was really easy, never had a puppy so damn stubborn and naughty. She came as quite a shock.

glad I'm not the only one who has experienced this!
I got drenched this afternoon, and so did she... but she doesn't care about water. I was out there for ages waiting for her to do her poo (I know she needed to go, as she nearly done it indoors, so rushed her outside). It was raining and she was all wet when I brought her back in

I was told a while ago that girls will be harder to train, so maybe I should have listened! haha, just kidding. I love her already, but she has been pushing me in the past few days.

She seems to growl alot when I try and correct her (well at least I think it's a growl, she's so small it sounds quite silly). I don't know, I think she needs to know I am the boss here. Hopefully I can sort her out eventually!

I certainly seem to! But hey, it's all part of the fun! I find it funny a few hours after it's happened, but at the time I'm frustrated

Could it be that she isn't getting enough stimulation/exercise throughout the day? She isn't due for her 2nd vaccination till the 16th July (had her first on the 2nd July), so she wont be able to go out for walks till around the 23rd, so she and I have just over 2 weeks to wait.
There is only so much you can do to entertain a puppy in a restricted area/s in the house and in the garden, so maybe she's just too full of energy that she isn't getting rid of! I play with her, make sure she runs about enough (and from this thread you can see that she does alot of that! ha!).

I can't wait till I can take her out for walks! Hurry up the next 2 weeks

Re: Mischievous puppy!

What food is she on?

Also remember not to much exercise for young pups the general rule is 5 mins per month up to 12 months,so as not to damage joints.
i.e at 4 months they should get 20 mins, 4 x 5 = 20

Re: Mischievous puppy!

She sounds like an OTB in disguise!

I have no further advice to offer, only to perhaps gradually change her over to a better quality puppy kibble

Re: Mischievous puppy!

I was thinking maybe the food has a part to play too,
I always recommend Burns Mini Bites for pups,

Typical Analysis/100g: Protein 21.0%, Oil 11.0%, Fibre 2.0%, Ash 7.0%, Vit A 10000 iu/kg, Vit D 1500 iu/kg, Vit E 80 iu/kg, Moisture 9%, Copper 15mg/kg, Sodium 0.48%, Calcium 1.6%, Phosphorus 1.0%, Magnesium 0.1%, EFA 3.33%, Carbohydrates 51%

Compared with
Purina Pro
Crude Protein (Min) 28.0%
Crude Fat (Min) 18.0%
Crude Fibre (Max) 3.0%
Moisture (Max) 12.0%
Linoleic Acid (Min) 1.6%
Calcium (Ca) (Min) 1.1%
Phosphorus (P) (Min) 0.8%
Vitamin A (Min) 15,000 IU/kg
Vitamin E (Min) 100 IU/kg
Docosahexaenoic Acid†(DHA) (Min) 0.05%
Glutamine† (Min) 1.0%
