I find it extremely disturbing that papers like the sun are in all actual fact running the nation. They are morphing public opinion. We might very well agree that only idiots waste money and believe crap like the Sun, but evidence seem to point that other, so called, more serious news distributors runs pieces with (although less sensationally put), similar orientation and the latest gov proposals seem to prove that. Correct me if I am wrong.

What these people are doing is terrible, but none the less, it's what they are doing. Would you all rather just not know? I don't understand why the hatred towards the paper for printing it, it only printed what they were told by the people causing the problems for the rest of us? Or are you all saying that these yobs did not say what was printed and infact the paper made it up? I for one would rather know what's going on in these estates, i like to know what the mentality of these people is to better understand why on earth they are acting the way they are, does nobody else then?

Alll this article has done is make people more afraid of these breeds of dogs, my friend took her two beautiful bullies out for a walk yesterday morning and got abuse from people shouted across the road at her,about her dogs,, she ran home terrified...then she read the article and found out why

It is the poor dogs I feel sorry for. It is sickening to see them in the hands of such people. Newspapers should be using their power to make the public aware of how to be a responsible owner and act responsible around a dog to prevent more accidents etc not make the public more fearful and create more hype. I just hope the article has some good use in getting the dogs away from such people, sadly I doubt it.

Its sad that it is going to end badly for certain breeds of dog though, you can see it coming. TBH I can see the scumbags point though. It is a way to protect yourself in a rough area, legally. Thats why its the dogs that will suffer.

i sgree why cant the police get dogs they suspect that are agressive and make them undergo a behaviour test? Idiot people are making sensible owners and dogs be tared with the same brush that they're all agressive.

Why do you sit here and just moan about it? Why are you net sending letters to the government? You say you want things to change - yet you do nothing about it. Do you just expect someone else will do it for you?

I do want to know, but I have no desire on hearing it from the Sun. The way so called journalists (or should we call them "creative writers") from garbage as such conduct interviews by merely interpreting and reconnecting sporadic sentences; so that something like "Would you agree your dog would be capable of killing a man if you were in danger?" becomes "My dog could kill a man in minutes". And they make it believable to all those out there who are simply incapable of forming an opinion based on personal experience and common sense.
