I have just been advised to get one by vet for my Border Terrier, 14 months, who has started to show dog to dog aggression, and who has recently been castrated. He’s showing dominance and is expressing it inappropriately with aggression to other dogs.
My vet advised I put one on him and go back to basic obedience. (recall 1st time, every time, etc) The thinking is he will be calmer and less reactive and more open to training.
My vet said that he uses one on his dog for the same reasons and it has been helpful. He said they 1st started seeing positive signs after 4 weeks, or in other words when his dog had the second one fitted.
I put it on my dog this morning and will let you know how we get on

Hi, like Dawny I have used the collar and I didn't get on with it so well as I didn't want to use it with Honey all the time but only when she was exposed to traffic. It did work to some extent but I have found the spray much better. I am currently using it for her travel sickness by spraying it in the area she lies in. I've had excellent results so far and she has stopped being sick or dribbling while travelling. It also use it on my clothing when I'm walking her somewhere really busy with lots of traffic. She seems much calmer overall. She doesn't have any issues with fireworks so I don't know if it would work for acute stress. I would definitely buy the spray again.

My Malamute had severe anxiety and fear problems outside when a pup, so I used both the collar and diffuser. Collars last about 4 weeks, I would say he was more re-active when the collar waas wearing out and better when a new one went on again. I still use the diffusers for fireworks and times of stress, in fact I also got him a collar again when he had to go and stay at a specialist vets a few months back.
