Re: dog or bitch which one is best?

I love both my dogs and my bitch to bits, but i find my dogs more lovable back than my bitch she can be a little cowbag sometimes That could be just her though and not because she's a bitch.

When we get another it will be a dog, really apart from when i was a kid we've always had dogs rather than bitches.

I suppose on a practical note dogs are easier because they don't get seasons etc.

Re: dog or bitch which one is best?

We have 2 bitches i guess its a case of what you know and are familiar with , A bitch has seasons and needs spaying , and a dog humps and need neutering , so other than obviouse size differences within breeds males being larger and heavier , i gues its down to preference , I wouldnt say either are better just diffenert in subtle ways .

Re: dog or bitch which one is best?

I wouldn't say I prefer male dogs, but for some reason I bond better with them. Nothing against bitches, we have a bitch pup as well as 2 males and I love her to bits but the bond isn't quite the same as with the males.

Re: dog or bitch which one is best?

I have been led to believe bitches are more loyal and affectionate. Only ever had one bitch as a child, all my dogs have been male, I haven't found a difference.

Re: dog or bitch which one is best?

My hubby never wanted a male dog ,he said bitches where more loving.

But i won when it came to getting our 2nd one winston and he is very loving ,but then so is jubilee so i don`t find any difference there.

But i have found when house training its always easier to tell when little boys have been for a wee compared to girls lol

My bitches although more loyal than my dogs can be complete rotters!

I like my boys laid back attitudes to life!

Re: dog or bitch which one is best?

I got three Golden Retriever girls and I wouldn't be without them. It's doubtful we'd ever get a dog, as management would be tricky with entire girls about the place. I might change my mind one day though.

I have to admit, I prefer the look of Golden Retriever dogs than bitches in a lot of ways, but I just love my girls to bits.
