worming

Ive been using a wormer from a pet shop johnsons i think its called, ive heard that pet shop wormers are rubbish??
Can advise recommend a wormer, its for a chihuahua, Im asumming most of you get them from the vets if so is it expensive to get them from there?
Ive got an appiontment for vic on thursday with the vet anyway so i had best get her some.
As i said ive been using this wormer since i got her and as far as im aware everything has been ok, i only wormed her last week, but i dont think its done any good. I know dogs are greedy but she's not normally like this, she's scoffing everything she can get her mits on

Re: worming

Mine have Drontal - I order it online from a Pet chemist or you can get it from your vet but its a little dearer....I have wormed my dogs and cats on this one for years without a problem. Shop Wormers are no good in my opinion.

It cost me 6 quid to worm one english bull terrier each on drontal from the private vets.. they go by the dogs weight so ur chi should cost alot cheaper and beleve me its worth paying out for..its the best by far.

Re: worming

ive found a site that does them
Bestpet Pharmacy - Drontal Plus Worming Tablet - for DOGS
does that sound ok? she's just over 6 pounds so she'd have one whole tablet?

Re: worming

You could do to find the standard tabs not the plus ones - as you would be giving her a little too much with one whole tablet - I have large breeds so dont know where the normal drontal is sorry....also try hyperdrug - and one I have used before Pet Dispensary - pet prescriptions at a fraction of the cost you would pay at the vets.

i use that site, all u need to do is find out ur dogs weight and then u know exactly how many tabs etc to get him and they deliver the next day to

i took mine to the vets last time because my dogs seemed to be looking abit lighter so i had to know exact weight...they now look fatter ffs

non the less its a good site.
