Re: Husband bitten by dog attacking our dog

The one thing that worries me is my dog was already nervous of other dogs and now he is going to be even worse, i dont think my husband will be that keen to walk him aound here anymore either, the ladies dog definately had a problem with other dogs as it didn't come over and sniff or greet, my husband said it just attacked, so what have the owners been doing with the dog he wasn't a young dog, probably had no training, and yes i do blame the owner not the dog.

yeh thats such a shame for your dog... my parents German Shepard was always nerous of other dogs but tried to be friendly but then got bitten by a jack russell.. now she hates other dogs and will only be friendly to cats!

Re: Husband bitten by dog attacking our dog

we had a dog as a kid that had been attacked by another dog when it was tied up (by previous owners), it couldn't be walked, as it would pull any one over if it saw anotther dog, to attack, as defence

Carol I am sorry to read your thread and can only sympathise with you, I do hope your hubby ok and the poor dog too, all too often you see older people or even children out with dogs that they cannot control we dont walk our dogs around where we live as there are just too many 'latch key' dogs!!!

All good wishes to you all

I too hope your hubby and dog heal fast - what a stupid situation to happen - I hope the police sort something out and not treat the old lady differently as she is old......she shouldnt be out with a dog she cannot control!!!!!
