please help mystery

hi my name is debbie im new to this but i really need help with my dog.i have got a 5yr old jack russell who is unwell went to the vets 3 weeks ok the vet said he had a swollen liver and also he was swollen in his body the vet said it was pancritius and gave him a course of medicine he was fine for a while then his breathing went unusual took him back to vets they kept him in for 3 days done blood test scans and x_rays but could not find anything wrong the blood test which he had for the pancras also came back as normal he has since been back and they still can not find a solution for why he is in pain he is now on a course of antibiotics which he finishes tommorrow which the vet said will treat kidney infection and prostate which he has a slight firmness but nothing too concerning they have said. he is also on metacam which he has once a day he is eating and drinking and sometimes he picks up then he goes right down when i have tried just to give him some love he crys out in pain also when taken for a walk he starts off great then about 200 yards into it he stops and walks back really slowly with a struggle he is doing all his toilet buisness fine and regular please help im really worried as the vets have no idea what is wrong with him thankyou to all that may reply.please excuse the grammer kind regards deb.

does he have any sort of cough?
whether he is moving around or just sat or lying still?
also you say he breathing went unusual, what do you mean by unusual?

no he does not have any sort of cough and hes breathing i would say a tight and heavy if thats any help thanks for your reply.

ok its doesnt sound like it is what i thought it may be,

the symptoms all sounded the same as i had in my westie,
although he also he a slight cough which got worse as time when on,
it turned out he had Emphysema ,

i hope the vets get to the bottom of whatever it is and you get him sorted out, please keep us updated

Could he be in heart failure?
Did your vets check his heart. Did he get a chest xray?
Where do you think the pain is, could it be his back?
Time to go back to the vet I would say.

no its not his heart they done all chest xrays and said that was clear examined all his spine thats normal too the pain i would say is in the stomach nearest his back end thankyou for your reply and help deb.

I would try a different vet. Just for that second opinion. Every vet can be different, some with more experience than others.

That is a good idea, or ask for him to be seen by a specialist the sooner the better I think.

yes he has that was normal
