Re: Firework rant

We've got away with none so far this year, usually they start around early October but this year our local supermarket only started stocking them last weekend. Not sure if it's a conscious decision for the sake of the local pets or not but maybe this would be an idea for stopping people having them too early. Personally I'd rather see them outright banned as they scare me nearly as much as our poor animals

chestersmum is on a distinguished road
Re: Firework rant

they started near me 2 weeks ago , as they were a bit away i took chester out to get him used to the noises. Fortunately he coped quite well , although its completely different when they are on your door step

Sorry to hear your boy has been so distressed by them.

Re: Firework rant

We have been lucky as we haven't had any so far, but my Maggie hasn't experienced real fireworks yet as she was only born in April, so will have to see how she copes!

Border Collies can be pretty bad with them but we do live within earshot of the army ranges and she is ok with all the noise from them every weekend...so I just think its going to be the high pitched fireworks that she hates! You know the horrible screeching ones that go off...

Ggggrrrr

Re: Firework rant

some of the ones our neighbours use are disgustingly loud , im dreading it cos even though last year Toff and Gypsy didnt seem to mind , in this last year Gypsy has become a nervous madam , no idea why , so I reckon this will frighten her ... and Teddy I have no idea what his reaction will be
