Re: Man 'strangles dog' after attack

My first thoughts were good on him. Second thoughts were I would have taken it to the vets to be destroyed, seems the report is judging him for for being irresponsible in having an aggressive dog, then judging him again for dealing with the way he did. If he'd have walked off and let the dog live hed still be judged as irresponsible.

Re: Man 'strangles dog' after attack

My God!!!!, bad enough it being out of control and hurting the child but then to do that to it, in an obvious rage, when he was supposed to be in control of the dogs is terrible, I feel bad for the child obviously, but jeese that poor dog going the way it did.

Re: Man 'strangles dog' after attack

That's awful. if it had attacked the boy, then at least take it to a vet to be humanely put down, don't do it yourself. the poor boy to be attacked and then watch it be killed and for the other people witnessing the event.

Re: Man 'strangles dog' after attack

Maybe he knew what breed type he owned, and knew the trouble he could get into for owning it.

Killing it himself would mean no evidence and no charge of owning a banned breed.

I wish they would use the word bite instead of attack. Had the child been attacked, he'd have needed way more treatment than he did. Media sensationalism as usual.

But you cannot just go killing dogs in public places james! It he behaves like this in public imagine his behaviour behind closed doors!

And what about members of the public who may have witnessed this? Not something I would want to witness myself.

Also to destroy a dog this has to be done humanely! This is hardly humane, it's barbaric! I certainly hope that he is found and punished!

Yes I realise that, but at least he had the sense to know the dog could not be trusted. I dont know how id react if I saw a child mauled by one of my dogs, I doubt any of us do. I agree he should of dealt with it in a more civil fashion though. I imagine however, he feels a lot worse not having his companyon with him today, realising it was at his hands when he saw its last breath.

Companion? More likely a drug dealer or some such.

My thoughts exactly! Hope they find the ba*tard and throw the book at him. That poor child and dog never stood a chance with that sort of moron, it was an accident waiting to happen. Who can imagine what that dog suffered in its life with that for an owner.
