Thanks for all the comments. I'll certainly keep an eye on them. I have used Frontline in the past on my last dog, i think this time it was a more of an impulse buy preparing for cat fleas but i suppose the cat fleas wouldn't touch the dog anyway.

Fraid they will.... most fleas on dogs are cat fleas. It's also very important to remember fleas do not breed on the animal, but in carpets, upholstery etc. Back up your treatment of the animals with a good, proven house treatment such as Indorex or Acclaim. Once the house is treated you will notice a big drop in flea issues meaning you may have to use things on the dog and cat themselves a lot less often.
