Unhappy I'm a bad mummy

I've hurt Dixie's paw!

She was behind the door waitning for me to come back through, and I didn't realise how close she was because Dave and Bullseye were there too.

I heard a yelp and it sonded like Bullseye but I realsied it was Dixie! It was quite loud it must have been so sore

I have hit her paw with the door and taken some fur off and there is a wee cut. I cleaned it and it looks ok, it's not bothereing her at all,
But how long will it take to grow back??

You are a bad mummy just kidding.

It shouldn't take to long to heal back up. Depends if her hair grows quickly or not. If it's not bothering her then it's fine. Don't cut yourself up by it - Geordie always lies behind the door and I forget and go charging in although she always manages somehow to get out of the way

Re: I'm a bad mummy

It took her weeks and weeks to gow her hair back after her spay
Lol I'm going to have a dog with a bald bit for ages!
OH said maybe I need to put a sock on to stop it getting cold LolLol.
I will put something on it f she starts getting at it, because once that happened to her back leg and it took ages to heal because she kept at it and now has a lumpy scar there.

Re: I'm a bad mummy

ah bless her, don't worry about it. Dogs have a habit of sitting in annoying places. Trudy had a bit of her hair shaved on both front legs when she got spayed and took a few weeks to grow back. Still noticable 4 weeks later but only if you look closely.

Re: I'm a bad mummy

It is easily done no matter how carefull you are. bless her....her fur will grow back in no time, she is ok that is all that matters. Put some of them florescent stripy socks that the girls wear....bright orange, pink and yellow. wow you will certainly see her next time, she will light up the room like a beacon lololol

Re: I'm a bad mummy

Aw don't worry, it was an accident and they do have a habit of getting in the way sometimes!

I've lost count of the number of times ive stood or tripped over mine as he likes to follow me around, especially if im in the kitchen making food (or just doing anything in there actually)! He's so cute though he always waggs his tail and puts his paws up on me as if he thinks its his fault!

Hopefully the fur will grow back quickly, and if not then its something to give her paw a bit of character lol

If Bodie hurt herself it was always as if she thought we had some hand in it, she would bump herself and then look at us with her sulky face.
