where do you get them?
The butchers? Or can you get them at pet shops? I've been to any that sell raw bones?

Re: Very random but- raw bones?

Meat isnt treated with anything other than chilling or freezing when you get it fresh from the butchers , you should be fine with it fresh , the carcas it came off may have already been frozen at some point , make sure they are knuckle end bones ask the buthcher to saw it smaller if too big then you could put the other bit in the freezer , dont be worried if it gets dirty a dogs stomach can cope with the bacteria .

Ok thanks that's really helpful.
Do you find that most butchers mind you asking or do they like to get rid of the bones

Re: Very random but- raw bones?

Even the butchers section of a supermarket will provide you with bones for your pets.

I found out by accident, I was buying meat for both the dog and cat when the butcher said he would get me some bones for them, done it ever since.
