ok thanks.
and you need to freeze them or something before I give them to my dog right or is it already treated- having been at the butchers ( the meat having been treated)?

Re: Very random but- raw bones?
Meat isnt treated with anything other than chilling or freezing when you get it fresh from the butchers , you should be fine with it fresh , the carcas it came off may have already been frozen at some point , make sure they are knuckle end bones ask the buthcher to saw it smaller if too big then you could put the other bit in the freezer , dont be worried if it gets dirty a dogs stomach can cope with the bacteria .

Do you find that most butchers mind you asking or do they like to get rid of the bones ![]()

Re: Very random but- raw bones?
Even the butchers section of a supermarket will provide you with bones for your pets.
I found out by accident, I was buying meat for both the dog and cat when the butcher said he would get me some bones for them, done it ever since. Sue |
