Assistance dog?

Can I call our dog an assistance/support dog? She does not have any special training but I am Type I diabetic and have arthritis. Dogs can sense when humans have hypos. Is there a special register? Any ideas, many thanks

Re: Assistance dog?

I dont think you can register your own pet dog but here is their website may be worth having a look through and then contacting them

Re: Assistance dog?

Hi I have applied to dogs for the disabled so I no my stuffcool:

Ok so you can register your own dog but it has to go to support dogs for training www.supportdogs.co.uk so it cant go in a public place unless it has a official coat and is properly registerd

Re: Assistance dog?

your own dog can have special training to become a support dog, which means intensive training for you both, exams and your dog will have to many tests! I.E - behavioural, around people, etc!

look it up, to find out how to apply!
