hi!
has anybody got any good ideas on how i can get a good picture of my 2 black toy poodles? they always come out without showing their features. lol and they are so cute.

Have same problem - I have a chocolate pup (and a brown and a cream, 3 toys altogether)and you get a better pic taken outside, or on a pale coloured rug or background, I use a zoom lens on mine - just keep taking photos - trial and error, and getting them all to sit long enough lol. I love poodles - cant wait to see your pics -

i've lost count of how many i have taken.thank god for digital cameras.
i can't wait to get a white toy poodle.

I guess all you can do is wait lol, until the right shot comes around, make sure you take your camera everywhere you go because you might miss out i have in the past and now take my digi cam everywhere!
Also light backgrounds probably best! Good luck!

i know exactly what u mean i get red eye or the choc dont show up so nice or the dog turns its head just as your flash goes grrrrrrrrrrr worse thing i find is take a pic of a pup ..flash goes .........no dog on pic........... its bolted lol

We have the same problem with our black bergies. Plenty of light from behind the photographer and a light background both help.

lol i'm glad i'm not the only one,i feel better now and i shall keep trying and you will all be the first to see them. when i get one.

when I was with my ex we had a black cat and sometimes he would pull the cutest poses on the sofa - problem BLACK sofa! all that ever came out was eyes and sometimes the pink in his ears!!
