Re: I stroked a rottie earlier!

I must admit, I never really liked rotties until we got ours !!

A few friends had them as well as some family members, but I was a GSD lover at heart !!!

Before we got ours, I was on the net reading as much as I could about them, and contacting various breeders to get some info. Some breeders were happy to chat, others were only intrested if you were buying a pup from them !!!!

We got zara at 14 weeks, as she belonged to a family friend who couldn't look after her due to him moving south for work !

When we brought her home, both my parents and the in-laws said we were of our heads getting a rottie, due to the way they attack things !!!

But now my mum, who doesn't really like pets, said that zara is the only dog she'd trust with her life !!

She is the soppiest dog I've ever owned...lolol. Always wanting to lie on you when your dozing off on the couch rolleyes: Or giving you sloppy kisses in the morning after a night on the town

Zara's best pals were a border collie, a DDB, Lab x Staff..and a chiuiha that always tried to hump her eek: The smaller ones don't like her now,as they are scared of larger dogs due to ned letting their akitas, cano corso crosses lung for them in an agressive manner.mad:
Now she is kept on her toes with our pup, a Bullmastiff x American bulldog and blackie my friends6yr old male rottie

Would I get another one !! I don't know, after the problems we've had with zara kind of putting me off just now !!!

But you never know

Re: I stroked a rottie earlier!

I love rotties. They are adorable, just need socialization from an early age, like any dog.

You shouldnt be able to get a docked one nowadays - seen as docking is against the law!!

Re: I stroked a rottie earlier!

I agree, they are stunning. Defo in my top 10. On my way to work I always see these 2 pups, I don't think they are related, just a coincidence. They are so sweet, all awkward on their legs I just love big puppies!
