Re: 10 week waiting list for ......
Although i do think classes are of use we never did with Daisy and i know Jessie,s former owners didnt either i think a lot of that was due to the fact that at our local park ther was about 5 people who all had new pups at the same time and so we all got together on a daily basis to let them soscialise , Daisy and Jessie new each other from 3 months old as we walked with Jessie,s former owners so when we took her at christmas we had no trouble at all . As a result of thier interaction with other dogs and people both our dogs are very friendly both to dogs and people . I guess in your case it depends on how far you would be willing to travel to get you pup into a class , or maybe get together with some other owners and have a go yourself at a location to suit .

Re: 10 week waiting list for ......
Hi,
when mime was a little pup we contacted our local training class but were told that they were fully booked. It might b worth asking the vet or the class organisers themselves whether they can advise u of another class. We did this and had to travel by car to get to the new class but the people who run it our absolutely brilliant and we still go there now to teach him obedience, heelwork and tricks. I would really advice not giving up on puppy class cus although u can teach a dog well without them they are really great for socialisation and reasurance with training.

Re: 10 week waiting list for ......
I did ask our vet Jo, but they do not offer puppy socialisation
![]() Luika is already receiving training from me, but not the social side. He is such a lump and hard to carry now, bless. I was also amazed at the cost of classes at some schools. Essentially £10.00 for half an hour, plus your registration fee! As for starting my own, I already work 7 days a work as it is, so as much as I would relish the opportunity, I do have have the time ![]()

Re: 10 week waiting list for ......
I think that I may have found somewhere now. Contacted a training school that run the good citizen awards, which include puppy training, so they are sending me details.
