Re: Beagle Advice... to get one or not?

Id go down the smacking him with the plate route

Bugs is quite good if we eat on sofa but i would put anything down or she'll be straight on it lol. All i did was sat down with something boring, toast i think on the edge of sofa and if she came too close or sat begging ie big soppy eyes licking lips i got up with a ahhahh and turned away. By 2nd time she was laying down ignoring me. I then upped the temptation with nicer (smellier) food and sat down on sofa and she blanked me.

I havent done it for a while as weve been quite civilised lol and eaten at table but shes creeping towards that now so need to refocus her again.

I cant remember the digging one?? Is that when she was teeny? I forget just how teeny she was lol!

Re: Beagle Advice... to get one or not?

We have bassets, they are great off the lead and despite what people say very obedient - would usually rather sleep than be worked so are good to be left in their own company

beagles are hard work and Ive known some that like to dig a lot which wouldnt do your garden any good - plus I dont whether its me or not but beagles over a couple of years old seem to get grey faced v prematurely!

we can share her? you can have her during the week, and i'll have her on weekends lol.

haha, mike is a bit like that with pain, but i've found that he hates people sticking their fingers in his years so thats my plan of attack now. you just need to find his achilles heel leah!
