Re: puppy time wasters

hi i no what you mean - we have that problem to sometimes when we have cat litters - i hate it when people do it to us - whats wrong with a bit of common curtesy????? if they've changed their mind - i dont mind id rather they just ring and say sorry but we've changed our minds - it would save a lot of messing around - and it doesnt really cost anything to be polite......

susie and the gang

Re: puppy time wasters

It must be extremely frustrating. However, I would like to say that there are times when you feel a little under pressure from some breeders to say there and then if you want a particular puppy. Of course it is hard to resist, once there, but nobody should feel under pressure by breeders that require an immeidate answer.

Not that I am inferring you would, just a comment that's all

Yep it's annoying when people say they will be there, but can't make a quick phone call to cancel or delay a visit

You and me both. Some people are so bad mannered it's untrue - a quick phone call or even an email to say they've changed their minds isn't too much to ask, surely.

Have you had this scenario too? People come to see the pups; you vet them as potential owners; they go home to make their decision; they ring up to say they've decided to have one and are sending a deposit so would you hold one for them; you turn away several other possible buyers while waiting for the deposit to arrive - and then five days down the line you ring them to say you haven't received anything only to be told they've changed their minds!

As I said, it's plain bad manners!

Re: puppy time wasters

I havent had this problem as yet, I breed Shih Tzus too. I always make sure i get their number when they inquire and ring them on the day of the visit to make sure they are still coming. This seems to work with me.
