Re: New Dog Owner

So basically let my immune system build up a defense against it?

I'll just take some hayfever tablets in the mean time (the symptoms what I am getting resemble hayfever, but I know it's not hayfever its self).

There are no butchers near here, but if we do find one I wouldn't ask for a bone. I don't like the thought of it coming from a live animal that was recently slaughtered.

You might not like the thought of it but your canivore of a dog will!

Re: New Dog Owner

What I meant was I wouldn't want to be the one to pick it up.

Re: New Dog Owner

Sitmus use a pair of rubber gloves to pick it up if you don't think you could do it with bare hands. It'd be in a bag from the butchers anyway so you could just rip the bag and tip it out for the dog. He'll love it, raw bones are better than the cooked / smoked ones from the pet shops. He'll have fun getting the little bits of meat off the bone as well as chewing on it.

They put it in a bag, so you can open the bag, holding the bone through the bag and drop it in the garden.... he'll LOVE it. Occupies them for hours and hours. DJ has one every week

Re: New Dog Owner

Sunny was sick this morning also.

But luckily we had him on the dry dog food so it was easy to clean up.

Was he very bouncy and over excited before hand?

Mine went into a crazy 15 mins last week, did about 10 laps of the house and garden, came into my room (i was resting in bed) jumped on my bed and vomited a little bit on my duvet! I was not impressed at having to change the sheets!!!
