Re: your crossbreed

I have a ridgeback/boxer cross who is gorgeous looking but for some reason him and his bros and sis were handed into the rspca as puppies. Don't know how many there were as Sid was the only on left when I got there and I think they definitely left the best till last!

Re: your crossbreed

Do you have any photos of your pug/jack russell? I love both breeds and curious to see what the cross of the 2 breeds look like.

Unfortunatly this is what happens when people keep carelessly breeding dogs,it contributes to the filling up of shelters.I have nothing against xbreeds, but i dont like the breeding of so called designer dogs with daft names and high prices!i have 2 rescue xbreeds a chihuhua x toy yorkie and a border terrier x norfolk terrier

Re: your crossbreed

Hi, Yes my boy is Springer Spaniel X Cocker Spaniel, although he looks full springer at the moment to me! Whatever our views are on dogs, pedigree or otherwise, we should respect other peoples feelings! The way I look at crossbreeds is that we are cutting out the middleman and giving them a 24/7 forever home! I can understand the bit about people meddling with breeding but until the laws are changed i dont think anything can be done to stop them! And there will always be people willing to buy from them!

Re: your crossbreed

I don't think in Sids case he was a designer dog, I think the owners had a boxer and a ridgeback, but neglected to get them spayed and then when the pups came along they didn't think they would be able to get rid of them (being such large dogs) so gave them to the RSPCA.

I personally would always be happy to take on a crossbreed but wouldn't pay high prices, I would go to the rescue centres.
